Immersive Design Experience

Walking through WOW! House was a sensory journey like no other. Each room captivated with signature scents from Diptyque and immersive soundscapes, transforming the visit into a multisensory adventure. Beyond the visual allure, the experience was tactile and auditory, offering profound inspiration for those exploring cutting-edge interior trends and seeking fresh ideas for their own projects.

Highlighting Design Excellence

Every room at WOW! House radiated exceptional design, often featuring recycled or upcycled materials seamlessly integrated with contemporary elements. Ken Fulk’s dining room chandelier crafted from plastic bottles was a standout example of creative sustainability. Guy Goodfellow’s drawing room dazzled with its vibrant patterns and expert blend of traditional and modern aesthetics.

Michaelis Boyd’s luxurious primary bathroom epitomised serene luxury with hand-painted murals, brushed brass hardware, and a palette of deep olive greens—an oasis of calm sophistication. Katharine Pooley’s courtyard, adorned with custom hand-stitched wallpaper, exuded timeless elegance. Veere Grenney and Associates’ courtyard bedroom, enveloped in Schumacher fabric and crowned with a majestic four-poster bed, offered a dreamy escape.

Fabric-upholstered walls cocooned almost every room, enhancing insulation and creating a comforting ambiance akin to home. Andrea Benedettini’s library, with curtained walls and a hand-painted forest ceiling, exuded refined tranquillity. Anahita Rigby’s study beautifully harmonised Western and Eastern influences, featuring Japanese accessories and shoji paper screens.

Sophie Ashby’s sitting room stood out for its understated elegance, adorned with marble offcuts on the fireplace—an example of thoughtful material reuse. Studio Vero’s inviting kitchen featured green marble, natural timber cabinets, antique brass accents, and toffee-toned handmade tiles, offering a warm and inviting space for gathering.

Key Trends for 2024

Reflecting on the trends at WOW! House, several key themes emerged that will shape the future of interior design. From the innovative use of recycled materials and the seamless blending of old and new to the prominence of fabric-covered walls, statement chandeliers, and a refined palette featuring ochres, greens, and blues, these elements are poised to influence design aesthetics in 2024 and beyond.
