I’m Dr. Kamila Kawai, Founder of House of Kawai, but just call me Kamila.

I grew up in Slovakia, surrounded by rolling hills, vineyards, and a town steeped in history, which sparked my love for art, culture, and design. My travels across Europe and Asia have enriched my approach to interior design, blending practicality with personality to create truly lived in homes.

With a background in metallurgy and engineering, I developed a keen eye for detail, precision, and problem solving. After retraining at KLC School of Design in London, I founded House of Kawai, offering bespoke interior design services across the UK and Europe. I specialise in home renovations, interior redesigns, and bespoke interiors. My portfolio includes projects across the UK, Midlands, and Europe, creating beautiful, functional spaces tailored to my clients' needs.

Based in Warwickshire, I work across the Cotswolds, Stratford-upon-Avon, and beyond, crafting timeless interiors that reflect individual taste and ensure every home is thoughtful, inviting, and full of character.

A bit about the origin of our name;
“Kawai" originates from Japan. It signifies a ‘confluence,’ where multiple rivers merge.
It also has a personal meaning to me, as it is the family name of my husband.
